Virtual Counseling for Individuals in Texas

Grow new mental health skills

Are you struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem, or issues in your relationships?

Do you fall into patterns that make it difficult to relax, find motivation or direction, feel good about yourself, or connect to others in a healthy way? Do your thoughts, feelings, or just life in general, leave you feeling overwhelmed, confused, and exhausted?

Hi my name is Tosha!

I am the owner and therapist at Skill Tree Counseling PLLC. I have been providing counseling to individuals in Texas since 2016 and I specialize in anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship issues, life transitions, stress, and parenting. I also specialize in helping ADHD and Autistic individuals.

I like to offer a collaborative and interactive approach to therapy, for those who are seeking a therapist that will do more than “just sit and listen.” I try to strike a balance between validating emotions and difficult life experiences, while also helping my clients set achievable goals and learn new skills.

My hope is that we can have productive and engaging conversations that will lead to deeper levels of self understanding and acceptance. I also enjoy bringing a bit of humor to sessions when I can! (Laughter is a great coping skill after all)

In my personal life I identify as a “nerd” and enjoy watching bad movies, playing video games, and spending time with my spouse and two cats, Mabel and Rusty.

So you may be asking…

What is a Skill Tree exactly?

A skill tree is actually a term that is borrowed from video games! It is a system for improving and customizing your character (yourself) that is based on gaining experience and learning new skills.

Unfortunately, learning new skills in real life isn’t always as fun as it is in a video game. Life tends to throw tons of barriers in our way that can make change uncomfortable, confusing, or frustrating.

My goal is to help you identify and break down your barriers to change, so you can reduce anxiety, improve self-esteem, and build healthier connections with others.
